Nestled in the hills overlooking the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, Holy Names University is the oldest Catholic University in the East Bay and one of the most diverse universities in the United States. Position Objective
Oversee the operation of the University’s information applications and services for administrative systems. Develop and manage the application portfolio. Directs application, database, data warehousing and business intelligence activities of the University.

Works with other department personnel to identify, recommend, integrate and support cost-effective administrative application solutions for the University.

Essential Functions of the Position
Develops and implements long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining ERP system and companion software; serves as a resource person for all ERP modules; provides leadership on cross-module process improvements; ensures ERP software meets business requirements and goals, fulfills user requirements and identifies and leads resolutions of system issues; coordinated evaluation, integration, and deployment of ERP applications, systems software, and associated companion products.

Collaborates with user community in testing new ERP processes and companion applications; develops and maintains a test plan; works with user community to create long-term strategic goals for achieving and maintaining high data quality and to devise, coordinate, and conduct data-cleansing initiative to purge and eliminate corrupt or redundant information from ERP database.

Manages evaluation, installation, integration, testing, configuration, and deployment of new enterprise applications, system software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications; applies established metrics to determine readiness, quality, and operability of software, systems, and application dues for release to user community within the University.

May re-engineer applications support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision; ensures any new software integration into University systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.

Develop services and environments that are scalable for the future in regards to reliability, growth, performance, and productivity.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2-5 years experience in college/university administrative applications.
• Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies, data privacy practices and laws .
• Knowledge of implementation of enterprise-wide application portfolio.
• Experience with scripting; SQL.
• Experience with change management and implementation processes.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Written and oral communication skills, in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Ability to lead investigation into application issues.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, with limited off-site travel.
• Ability to provide keen attention to detail.

• General working knowledge of relational database systems and models; Ability to write SQL (queries and SPROCS).
• Business Intelligence tools, such as SSRS or Crystal Reports
• Expert in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of formulas and functions as related to quick data manipulation, transformation, and analysis
• Knowledge of programming (ASP.NET/C#)
• Experience working with XML data and transforming it.

Essential Physical Tasks
Lifting up to 20 lbs.
Walking to meetings.
Ability to sit for an extended period of time.

Additional Information
This position may require a background screen. We reserve the right to make employment contingent upon successful completion of a background screen.

This is a regular, full-time, exempt-level position reporting to the Director of Information Technology.
